1. Pupil Permanently Excluded
- School send standard PEx email to LA which is automatically forwarded to the Rapid Response & Integration Programme Manager (Refer to: OCC Intranet\Children, Families and Young People\Our Services\Social Inclusion Services\Exclusions and Behaviour Support\Exclusion Form sent to pex@oxfordshire.gov.uk).
- RR & I team organise interim provision from day 6 followed by reintegration support into next educational placement.
2. Pupil on LA 'planned transfer'
(That is LA officer has negotiated a planned transfer with a Head Teacher as an alternative to proceeding with a permanent exclusion).
- LA officer contacts RR & I Programme Manager or Assistant Programme Manager via Planned Transfer Support Request email ( Appendix 1: Request for Meadowbrook College Reintegration Support)
- Meadowbrook College will put a reintegration support package into place. This package will comprise of an initial home visit, reintegration planning meeting with receiving school, and 15 hours support in school over a six week period. Pupils remain the responsibility of their original school until the reintegration start date.
3. High Level Needs Pupil Moving into Oxfordshire
- Examples of high level needs are double PEx, Yr 11 PEx, last placement at special ESBD provision
- LA officer contacts RR&I Programme Manager or Assistant Programme Manager (High Level Needs Support Request email sent, see Appendix 2: Request for Meadowbrook College support for a high level needs pupil with no school place).
- RR & I team organise interim provision from day 6 followed by reintegration support into next educational placement
- RR & I team organise immediate interim provision as a priority followed by reintegration support into next educational placement.
4. 'Looked After' Pupil Permanently Excluded
- School send standard PEx email to LA which is automatically forwarded to the Rapid Response & Integration Programme Manager
- (Refer to: OCC Intranet\Children, Families and Young People\Our Services\Social Inclusion Services\Exclusions and Behaviour Support\Exclusion Form sent to pex@oxfordshire.gov.uk).
- Additionally, schools, LA officer, social worker or residential staff/carer can contact RR&I Programme Manager or Assistant Programme Manager on 'CLA hot line' (07787151705).
5. 'Looked After' Pupil on Fixed Term Exclusion from Mainstream School
(For 'looked after' pupils who have been FEx for more than 2 days, and/or who are at serious risk, and/or who's residential placement is at serious risk, if they have no day time provision)
- Schools, LA officer, social worker or residential staff/carer to contact RR&I Programme Manager or Assistant Programme Manager on 'CLA hot line' (07787151705).
- RR&I team will provide interim education provision for days 3 to 5 after which school will retake responsibility for appropriate provision.
6. Looked After' Pupil Transferring between Mainstream Schools Mid-year due to Change of Residential Placement
- Schools, LA officer, social worker or residential staff/carer to contact RR&I Programme Manager or Assistant Programme Manager on 'CLA hot line' (07787151705).
- RR&I team will provide a 6 week reintegration support package.
- Note current LA policy is for pupil to remain on roll of original school until accepted onto roll of new school.
7. KS3 Programme
(School referral for pupils on a mainstream school roll only)
- School sends KS3 Programme Referral form to RR&I Programme Manager/Assistant Programme Manager (Form available on OCC Intranet at: \Children Young People and Families\Our services \Social Inclusion Services\Meadowbrook, see Appendix 3: Meadowbrook College KS3 Programme)
- Meadowbrook notifies school of provisional start date (This date may be deferred in the event of emergency referrals, see note below).
- Meadowbrook confirms actual start date 2 weeks prior to pupil starting (At this point the case will be allocated to a Rapid Response Team worker who will then begin pre-placement assessment process).
- Please note that in order to meet requirements of 'day 6' provision and LA commitment to 'looked after' pupils, some pupils are admitted to the KS3 Programme as emergencies at short notice. Such pupils would be referred through the routes described under 1, 3, 4, and 5 above.
8. KS4 Programme

Consideration is next given to pupils maintained on a mainstream roll but who are at significant risk of permanent exclusion and/or identified as particularly vulnerable, including: |
